We held our second Healthy Darwen Day on Saturday 14th September 2019. We started off at Darwen Health Centre at 8:30am whilst the season flu vaccinations were taking place, handing out our information book covering many services available to the residents of Darwen and surrounding Area. Feedback received from many sources said this was a very good informative document. If you did not get a copy read it on line or download it at on our Newsletter & Leaflet Page
At 10 am the HARRI Bus the mobile health information vehicle came to the Market Square with information on many aspects of keeping healthy. At the same time our main information day opened at the Leisure Centre and we were kept busy all morning, when we noticed the good weather was keeping people away we took the show on the road and moved to the Market Square for a range of events for all ages
We had a display by Dance Syndrome the award winning troop based in Accrington, who inspire people of any ability to be involved. We then had interactive Yoga Sessions and you should have seen some of the positions your GP's got into, but at least they were practicing what they preach.
